Not A Simple Wish

I changed "Not A Simple Wish--A Star"
Here is the revised/final version:

Not A Simple Wish

Pinpoints of flickering light
In the black and piercing night.
They are magnificent--bright.
And have a slow-silent flight.

When observed with higher power,
Or during a mighty rock shower,
They blossom as a red-rose-flower
And turn your long lost sweet from sour.

Their companion is the fearless moon,
They're observed with joy, in the midst of June.
A host will even appear as a spoon;
But to their power, no one is immune.

They are the near-beyond-grasp-less giants,
Who have given many sailors guidance.
O! they cannot be bought with a sixpence
But will shine with everlasting brilliance.

So now do you know what you desire?
To even dare to acquire?
A wish from those dressed in fire;
From you? Who will but soon--quick--expire.

You should gaze in childlike wonder:
At those who's grace is not a number.
Do not Wish-a-way
Those who hide in day.
